1.START WITH YOUR COLOR SCHEME
First step is creating the mood u want to accomplish. I prefer a monochrome warm mood for the walls, Furniture, and flooring.
2.GO DARK IN DIM PLACES
Paint a room that doesn’t get enough of natural light a saturated color. It gives the space a cozy romantic look.
3.FAKE THE HEIGHT WITH LOW FURNITURE
Create strong verticals and avoid horizontals. Use small scale furniture to make the room looks larger and taller.
4.WARM UP A ROOM WITH MIRRORS
This French style mirror gives u warmth and depth as you see you need to make a pattern and cuts, add some details so it won’t look commercial.
5.CREATE A FOCAL POINT
A focal point is the center of attention where you build the rest of the scene arrangement. It can be the hood in the kitchen, an antique mirror, an art work,a headboard in the bedroom or a fireplace as in this room where all the seating is arranged symmetrically to the focal point.

As I mentioned before I prefer choosing a monochrome neutral shades, then use shades and throws to add colors and patterns to the room

9.REMEMBER THE RULE OF THREES
Arrange decorative pieces like candles, vases or table plants in groups of threes
10.GO GREEN
Use plants to add color, texture and life to the room
11.ADD SOME TEXTURE
Neutral decor can be interesting but adding a texture in the right place will give u richness in the room it could be natural stone or wallpaper.
12.ADD LAYERS OF LIGHTING
In this room u have ceiling indirect light, wall lamps, table lamps and spot lights to give the dramatic cozy look. Avoid large size ceiling pendants in low heights
13.BRIGHTEN THE CEILING
When choosing your wall paint make sure u apply a paler version for the ceiling to make the space brighter and taller.
14.HANG CURTAINS HIGH
To elongate visually the ceiling height hang the curtains as close to the ceiling
15.BE GENEROUS WITH THE KITCHEN BACK SPLASH
Eye-catching tiles can make a statement for your kitchen specially if u have an open kitchen. Cover as much of the walls as the budget allows.
